Riley (Laura Bilgeri) is struggling to make friends after transferring to a new high school where her father, Chris (Rusty Joiner), is an English teacher. When she meets Kyla (Lucy Loken), a self-described loner, Kyla quickly becomes a close friend and listens to Riley talk through her problems. However, the friendship takes a strange turn when Riley learns that Kyla is obsessed with her dad.
