During one of the hottest summers in Berlin, Antonia, a single mother of one and an overworked hotel housekeeper, drops her son off at the bus station. But once again, she is late for work. As a result, Antonia flirts with dismissal. Then, as one thing leads to another, Antonia has a chance encounter with Julius Pass. He is a famous blind portrait artist on pins and needles, waiting for his big exhibition opening.
